The name itself has what it is famour for ? The TTD Information Center in this road acts as TIRUMALA for devotees. The center providing information for devotees about Tirumala has become a temple on its own. Devotees throng this temple on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday to have a glimpse of Lord Venkateswara idol here. On auspicious days like New Year, Diwali there would be a big queue strolling across several streets nearby. One can book ticket to dharshan at Tirumala here in advance. The devotees can also book accomodation here for their stay in Tirumala.

There are shops providing flowers to Lord Venkateswara opposite the center. The police have taken measures to provide parking for devotees in the adjoining streets. The area is prone to traffic jams as its near the shopping heaven of T.Nagar - Usman Road. The road connects Panagal park to Mount Road and acts as a by-pass to public for reaching Saidapet.

The other thing famous for this road is, every year an idol of Lord Ganesha would be placed in front of JYM kalyana mandapam during Vinayaka Chaturthi. Whats great in it? The idol would be built with things unheard of like coconut, black gram etc... This year the idol is built with Black Gram. Isn't it worth that the article on this road comes at the right time, when Lord Ganesha's idol standing tall.

If one strolls a few feet from the Ganesha idol, they can reach the famous Sringeri Mutt of Shri Saradha Peetam. The building has a temple inside it and also helps brahmins to find bride or bridegroom for their children. The mutt also gives annadhanam during auspicious days. The mutt has been involved in various other religious activities.

Another few metres away is the twin recreation facilities one opposite to the other maintained by the Corporation of Chennai. They are Doctor Natesan Park and play ground. The park is a relaxing place for the fitness freak in T.Nagar area. This is one of the best park in this area compared to others like Panagal Park, Jeeva Park. But, off-late residents have started complaining about illegal activities like drug trafficking, prostitutes menace in the park.

The Corporation playground acts as a recreation place for youngsters. Basketball tournaments are conducted every year in the basketball court of the ground. The ground also sports a gym which acts as a fitness center for middle class youth.

The T.Nagar area has quite a few schools which has produced quite a few eminent personalities who have served the society and country. The prominent schools in this area are Saradha Vidyalaya and Ramakrishna mission boys school run by the Ramakrishna Mutt. Another school which has been providing education to people below poverty line is the popularly known T Nagar High school. Next, to which lies Guntur Subbia Pillai Girls school.

The road also has one place of historical importance which is the Takkar Bapa Vidyalaya. The father of nation Mahatma Gandhi had stayed in this place during his visit to Chennai. The place now has a women's hostel, vocation training institutes imparting technical education to poor and middle class people, nursery and elementary school.

The other places of importance in this road are T.Nagar Club, Gujarati Vidyalaya, Dr.Ranga Bashyam hospital, Ekayars - one of the famous petrol bunk. The T.Nagar club serves as a recreation facility for upper middle class and the affluent people of the area. The club was renovated recently and has facilities like Billiards, Bar, Badminton court etc.The Gujarati Vidyalaya acts as a host to the Dandiya dance during Navrathri season other than providing education at affordable price to the poor. Ekayars is one of the famous petrol bunks known for its service and purity. The bunk provides free water to the consumers during summer months.

The latest addition in this road is, office of IT company Virtusa opposite to the Sringeri Mutt.
