Godrej Properties Ltd. (GPL) (BSE scrip id: GODREJPRP) announced that its project in Ahmedabad, Godrej Garden City, was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri. Narendra Modi.
The high profile launch was attended by several dignitaries like, Shri. Nitin Patel, Minister of Urban Development, Govt. of Gujarat, Mr. Adi Godrej, Chairman of Godrej Properties’, Ms. Parmeshwar Godrej, Director (GPL), Mr. Milind Korde, Managing Director (GPL), Mr. Pirojsha Godrej Executive Director (GPL), Mr. Mark Igou (Managing Director, SOM) and many senior government officials.

Godrej Garden City, spread over 250 acres, is located within the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation limits, and will house over 13,000 apartments and villas, 40 acres of scenic landscaping and open areas, and significant commercial spaces. Godrej Properties plans to create facilities for education, health-care, recreation, hospitality, retail and banking within the development. There will also be civic facilities and public utilities. The master plan has been created by world-renowned architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) and the project’s construction will be carried out by L&T. Godrej Garden City will be sustainably developed and has been selected as one of sixteen projects from around the world to partner the Clinton Climate Initiative in the goal of creating a Climate Positive development.

Godrej Properties’ is developing this project under a joint venture development model. Godrej Properties’ joint venture partner for this project is M/s. Shree Siddhi Group.
