Pune - As a part of the YES- Youth Employability Support initiative, in providing employability assessment support to the youth of Pune, a series of events were organized for the punekars like a Fashion Show, a Karaoke Night and the much awaited live Rock Band Performance. The aim of these events was to gather young crowd for a common purpose.
In order to create awareness and excitement around the concept, Global Talent Track had organized a Rock Band Performance at Pune Central, Bund Garden named 'Wartone', 'Existence Fail' and 'Lite-up'. And 'Horizon' in performance at Curve, ABC Farms on 7th May 2010 respectively.
One common thing with all 3-bands at Central was that they had members from the age group of 14 to 21 years. But the performance didn't seem like being performed by amateurs, they played metal and rock with great enthusiasm. Each of the musicians brought something unique to the stage, the performance being on a weekend bought in dense crowd and the unique metal performance provided a perfect start to a weekend. The kid-performers brought an unforgettable experience to the music lovers in Pune.
Having performing live for the first time, the members of the band 'Existence Fail' have to say; "It was a brilliant and an exhilarating experience. We have just begun and have a long way to go. Having given a chance by Global Talent Track, it was hearty to be a part of something which was related to the youth and where we belong to."
Another band 'Horizon'- formed in 2006, has been rocking the city since then. They being experts in bringing what a person wants from a rock band by satisfying ones need for music. Having played for Parikrama, Strings and Euphoria; they have the perfect recipe to give youngsters a chance to experience the euphoria.
"This achievement is a testament to our ability to bring in realities to the lives of thousands of youth in Pune who wish to make it big in their career. Through the YES Campaign, thousands of youth have been enlightened about their suitable career, effectively" said Dr. Uma Ganesh, CEO, Global Talent Track". "There has been an exciting approach to deliver this test across the city with the gracious support of PMC through CSC's. We now look forward to replicate the campaign across other states empowering the youth to take correct career related decisions."
Prior to this, the YES- campaign had organized a fashion show- 'Metamorphosis '10' at Ishanya where noted personalities like Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, CEO Zensar, Ms. Monica Trivedi, Socialite, Ms. Anu Agha, Ex-chairman Thermax, Dr. Uma Ganesh, CEO Global Talent Track, was present at the inaugration ceremony on April 29 at Ishanya, Pune.
The employability initiative has been very well received by the punekars and more than 8000 youth have been provided with the employability vouchers and aim to target 50000 in the near future.
