New Delhi - In celebration of 'Mother's Day' on 9th May; Dettol partnered with Indian Medical Association in organizing free health check up camps for women across 300 hospitals and clinics and over 200 dispensaries in Delhi including LNJP Hospital, Maulana Azad Medical College, Bhagat Nursing Home, Pushpanjali, Deepak Memorial Hospital, Monga Nursing home, Safdarjang Hospital, to name a few. The aim behind this endeavor was to create health awareness amongst women and educate them to adopt healthy habits.
As per Dr Narender Saini, President Indian Medical Association (IMA) Mr. Chander Mohan Sethi, Chairman and Managing Director, Reckitt Benckiser, India said that; "It has been observed that women especially homemakers in India do not take their health related issues seriously and are more concerned about their families. Therefore as an industry leader Dettol took up this initiative on the occasion of Mothers Day, and collaborated with health experts in the capital to provide free health check ups and consultation. With this initiative we aimed to touch base as many households as we could."
Dettol, the leading brand of Reckitt Benckiser which is the Gold standards in health, has been associated with initiatives and activities aimed at spreading awareness about health and hygiene.
Dettol Surakshit Parivar is one such initiative through which the brand reaches to over a million new families. Further, Dettol supports Global Hygiene Council which works at revisiting current hygiene practices and offers recommendations to the public at large on improving hygiene conditions in the home and community. This was yet another initiative taken by Dettol.
