Mumbai - On 18th April 2010 a Mega Diabetes Camp was held by Wockhardt Foundation in Baroda, Gujarat wherein thorough medical check up was done for 1000 patients by a dedicated team of doctors & medication was provided for their ailments, absolutely free off cost.
Simultaneously another medical camp was held at Worli, Mumbai on the same day wherein thorough eye screening was done for 302 people & 350 patients were provided with thorough medical examination and medicines, absolutely free off cost.
Wockhardt Foundation also provided glasses, at an extremely nominal rate & cataract was treated absolutely free off cost for the poor, weak and needy.
Huzaifa Khorakiwala, CEO, Wockhardt Foundation said, "These eye camps are conducted with an aim of eradicating cataract & preventable blindness via regular eye screening that reaches the doorstep of the underprivileged."
Wockhardt Foundation conducts these medical camps for masses, which include medical check ups & distribution of medicines for various ailments among the lesser fortunate masses, in order to help them in averting major physical disorders.
