Cyclone JalThe cyclonic storm, 'JAL' moved westwards, weakened into a deep depression and lay centered at 2030 hrs IST of today, the 7th November 2010, over southwest Bay of Bengal near lat.13.00N and long. 80.50E, about 40 km east of Chennai and 180 km south-southeast of Nellore. It would move west-northwestwards, weaken further and cross north Tamil Nadu and south Andhra Pradesh coasts near to the north of Chennai within few hours.

It would intensify further, move west-northwestwards and cross north Tamil Nadu and south Andhra Pradesh coasts between Puducherry and Nellore close to Chennai by today, the 7th November 2010 night.
