Himachal Tourism to host Week Long free Hospitality for World Record Holders of Commonwealth Games

New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation will host week long free hospitality including boarding and lodging etc. in any of its Hotels in the State to World Record Holders of all the nations during next Commonwealth Games being held in New Delhi in the month of October, 2010 announced State Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal.

Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal said that the week-long free package to the World Record Holders during Common Wealth Games aimed at attracting the best sports talents to visit Himachal Pradesh and enjoy the traditional hospitality alongwith their spouses. He said that Himachal Pradesh is universally acknowledged as Best Destination where visitors from different parts of the world come to spend their holidays. He said that a number of new initiatives had recently been taken by the State with a view to diversify the tourism promotion activities and prolong the stay of the visitors. He said that the State had launched Home Stay scheme to involve rural masses in the promotion of tourism development.

Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal Chief Minister said that the State would be delighted to have the World Record Holders emerging during the Commonwealth Games as its distinguished guests and extend them not only warm reception but traditional Himachali hospitality as well.
