New Delhi: Consumer electronics firm Weston which had recently forayed into peripheral product market has introduced its high end 2.1 multi media speaker ‘Piano’ with a built in FM tuner for the first time in the country.

“The company has entered the peripheral market in addition earlier existing range of Color televisions, DVD players and Washing machines . Weston has already launched two models of high end speakers and plans two more in next six weeks. The Multimedia Speaker market is a niche market with estimated total size of 50 lakh units a year and increasing at rate of 20 % per annum”.” Said Mr Sunil Sethi, COO, Consumer Electronics and Aplliances, Weston.

“ The 2.1 channel multi media speaker ‘Piano’ with great black looks and powerful out put of 14 Watts ( 8W+3WX2) has a built in FM tuner for quality sound and good bass effects. These speakers can be used with P.C/Laptop, DVD, MP3 or computer. The high quality FM tuner has clear signal receiving capability with convenient controls” Mr Sethi said.

“These major highlight of the ‘Piano’ speaker includes spectacular performance, tremendous power and clarity for PC gaming, watching DVDs, and listening to CDs and MP3 files, smooth mid and high frequencies, clear highs and distortion-free lows, revolutionary sub-woofers for twice the bass energy. convenient headphones jack and volume controls .” Mr Sethi said.

In addition to the high quality sound, the Weston speakers feature a new design, which brings the feel and performance of a home theatre to a desktop. The Piano is a 3-piece system with 14 watts of power, giving listeners the best audio experience possible through their PC. A headphone jack in one of the satellite units enables convenient private listening.

The PIANO from WESTON would be available at a price of Rs 1390. The product will be available across the country with 3500 Weston dealers.
